However, it was Eben Sadie's Mev Kirsten Chenin (WO Stellenbosch) that attracted the highest bids, followed by Porseleinberg, and another highlight was Reenen Borman's Sons of Sugarland Syrah (also WO Stellenbosch), which fetched quite a bit more per bottle than Magnetic North and Crystallum. Apparently, the Strauss & Co auctions convened in collaboration with merchant Roland Peens (Wine Cellar) and sommelier Higgo Jacobs are set to become monthly rather than occasional events in future \u2013 although at the time of writing the date of the next sale had yet to be advertised.<\/p>\n
