PRETTY NEAT! In 2021 they did it with their Finesse 2020. In 2022 they've done it with their Bateleur 2020. One of the Top 10 gold medallists at Chardonnay du Monde<\/strong><\/span><\/a> two years in succession. Up against top producers from around the world, and in Burgundy, France. Go De Wetshof! Go Robertson!<\/p>\n

There were 546 entries from 32 countries, judged by 200 experts who awarded 178 medals, 56 of them gold. Of the top-scoring Chardonnays, 11 were French, two were from the Czech Republic, with one each from South Africa, Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia.<\/p>\n

The only other South African wine producer awarded gold in the competition was Kleine Zalze of Stellenbosch for their Vineyard Selection Chardonnay from the 2021 vintage.<\/p>\n
